1. What's Love Got To Do With It?
John and Chris's relationship takes a new turn when they both begin to admit their feelings for each other. Linda questions her lack of spirituality, and a guy named Hector shows up at the diner, looking for a get-rich-quick scheme.
2. Dates And Nuts
John and Chris's first date is pre-empted when John is called to the hospital for an emergency. Desperate to raise money, Jake has a disastrous drug-testing experience. Linda flaunts her new-found religious fervour over Margaret.
3. A Little Ho-mance
After his nana dies at a nursing home, Jake discovers that she was sleeping around with several of the male residents there. John and Chris finally get their relationship moving in the right direction, despite John's lack of romance.
4. Spontaneous Combustion
Chris and John cannot seem to consummate their relationship, and Chris becomes convinced that it's because they lack spontaneity. Jake is haunted by the memory of his recently deceased nana.
5. Afterglow
John and Chris are getting more serious in their relationship, but Chris is determined to make a gentleman out of John. Margaret takes on a part-time job, but it's a little more than she bargained for.
6. The Unbelievable Wrongness Of Talking
Chris tries to make John engage in small talk with her, but he resists. Hector comes to Jake with a business proposition, but Jake declines, only to learn later that he could have tripled his investment.
7. Sister Spoils The Turkey
It's Thanksgiving, and Chris talks John into having a holiday dinner - just the two of them, but it soon turns into a much bigger, family affair.

Margaret is depressed when she learns that a friend has made it rich. Hector finally gets a job.
11. Snow Means Snow
Chris talks John into taking a vacation with her, which is nearly ruined when the worst snowstorm of the year prevents their flight from leaving.
12. Subway Story
John makes plans with Chris and some old friends to have dinner but he's delayed by an elderly woman who need directions and a shoulder to cry on.
13. D.N.R.
Everyone thinks John is acting strange, when in fact, he has just figured out that he is genuinely happy in his life. Jake makes a life-changing decision.
