The Brady Bunch Movie
They’re back to save America from the ‘90s.
It’s the ‘90s and even the Bradys get the blues. Mike Brady and his wife Carol Brady have just one week to come up with $20,000 in back taxes or their house will be foreclosed and sold to their scheming and unscrupulous neighbour, Larry Dittmeyer, who is in charge of acquiring land for a new residential mini-mall. To make matters worse, Marcia gets a swollen nose on prom night, Cindy is addicted to tattling, and Jan is hearing a psychotic inner voice crying, "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!"
When the Brady kids find out about the imminent auction of their home, they look for work to raise the money to save the house, but their earnings are nowhere near enough to reach the required sum. The night before the Bradys have to move out, Marcia suggests they put their “talents” to better use and enter a “Search for the Stars” talent contest, the prize of which is exactly $20,000. The Brady kids receive a lacklustre audience response. The final decision comes down to the judges...
Despite the film being set in the 1990s, The Brady Bunch family are still portrayed as their 1970s television incarnations with the peculiarities of 70s fashion and lingo. Several members of the original cast make cameo appearances.
