About The Munsters

At 1313 Mockingbird Lane in Mockingbird Heights stood a musty, cob-web covered gothic mansion. The residents considered themselves just a normal, every-day American family, but with no neighbours. Herman, the man of the house, was seven feet tall and bore a striking resemblance to the Frankenstein monster. His wife, Lily, looked very much like a lady vampire; son Eddie looked like he was in the midst of changing from boy to wolf, or vice versa; and Grandpa could have passed for an ageing, 350-year-old Count Dracula. They all had their idiosyncrasies.

Grandpa was not above changing form into a bat when the situation required it. Not only did the family look like monsters, they were monsters-albiet friendly, unassuming ones. They were concerned about their niece Marilyn, who looked somewhat strange to them (to an outsider she was the only normal looking one of the lot). The effect their physical appearance had on the outside world was always predictable, often hilarious and occasionally poignant. Herman, appropriately worked at the Gateman, Goodbury & Graves funeral home and was always on the lookout for a better job.
