Steve Austin was an astronaut and NASA pilot before a catastrophic accident left him all but dead. With much of his body destroyed Austin was "reconstructed" by the most advanced medical technology giving him extraordinary physical powers. He can now break chains rip open doors batter his way through walls and swim or run sixty miles per hour. He is an extrordinary phenomenon - one that has cost roughly six million dollars.

Steve recieves his assignments from the O.S.I. (Office of Strategic Intelligence) an organisation somewhat like the C.I.A. Despite occasional disagreements the organisation invariably goes along with him; after all there is no other six million dollar man.

Yet with all his futuristic aspects Austin remains a human with the sensibilities of a humanist. He's a human being who is constantly aware of who he was what he is and what he can do. He is a super individual who's often in awe of his own abilities. One thing is definite - Steve Austin is no robot.
