Harry and Sally meet when they share a ride to New York after they both graduate from the University of Chicago. They leave each other in New York and venture through life both in search of true love. As their attempt to find ‘the one’ fails, they bump into each other time and time again. Harry and Sally’s close friendship blossoms and they wonder whether being just good friends could develop into something deeper.
